Funeral designs

Everyone is unique and funerals are every bit as special and vastly different as all other events that occur in one’s lifetime. We make all manner of the more classical looking funeral designs you always see. But we also excel in making bespoke or large scale, hand made frames. We meet with family members and listen to their shared, personal stories of their recently departed loved one. With this insight we can make whatever design big or small which perfectly and emotional fits with each person. We often incorporate small personal touches like garden animals hiding in-between all the fresh blooms for a keen gardener and painter who also loved the country-side wild life . All our designs are always very personal and always made with love.

I love to sculpt free-hand to make both 2D and 3D designs. This young lady just adored her lemon beagle dog…so thats exactly what we made her! It started out as a huge block of floral foam but after a lot of research on the size/shape of beagle dogs, a sharp knife and a steady hand plus a good dollop of creative bravado. We carved this one-off, truly crafted, beautiful dog! With additional final touches like the diamanté heart shape tag on her collar to ears which were realistic and had movement.

Based or massed designs where flowers are placed tightly together have always been popular. From letters secured together creating names or particular words. To flat shapes such as this Italian flag shown above. This particular flag was made for a rather wonderful Italian gentleman I knew well. This patriotic carved flag shape came complete with a one off flag pole section with top spike to finish off. And secured onto a framework on the reverse to keep the flag at the right, raised angle so everyone can see it!
And all made to look as if the raised flag is fluttering in the wind.
